Keith Tait

Keith has been involved in the arts for as long as he can remember. He was always drawing and painting as a child and this he has never stopped throughout his life. Training in Silversmithing at Camberwell School of Art and Crafts is just the start of the many various fields he has practised in among them being Ceramics, Film making, Stained Glass, Community Artist, Graphics and Musician. Throughout this time he has always pursued his own career as a painter and sculptor.

His work is often thematic using the themes to produce a number of images around the subject thus taking the viewer on a journey exploring not just the image but the ideas that go through and on from the pieces themselves. He works on larger canvases when painting as he feels this expresses the intensity of the often extreme light and shade he uses in his work and gives a freedom to the painting process itself.
