The Newbiggin by the Sea Art Trail

A free leaflet guiding residents and visitors around the many works of public art on display in the village. The trail takes about two hours to complete but can also be enjoyed in smaller sections.

Additional works have been installed since the first run in 2008. A n update to the leaflet has now been published and further updates will be made after the installation of three new pieces of art during the summer of 2010. Copies of the current leaflet are available from Woodhorn Museum, The Old Ship, Dinky's Coffee Bar, Morpeth Tourist Information Centre and the Newbiggin Heritage Centre on the promenade. The aim of this project was to encourage residents to explore and take pride in the art on their doorstep and to aid tourism, increase footfall and enhance visitor experience.
