KEAP Creative is a Social Enterprise whose aim is to develop the arts in and around Newbiggin by the Sea. All five KEAP artists live in Newbiggin and work from their studios in Woodhorn Church.

KEAP Creative believe that Art is part of that which makes us human and in addition to producing our own work (which is very important) we want to encourage members of our community to participate by looking and doing. We also believe that Art has an important role to play in the regeneration of the community in which we live and work. KEAP Creative was founded by seven artists who, having met at Newbiggin Arts Forum, discovered a common need for permanent studio space. We found this in the empty St. Mary's Church, Woodhorn which we have rented from the local authority since July 2007. Our studios and current exhibition are open to the public every Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. Everybody is welcome to visit us.

St. Mary's Church, Woodhorn (known as Woodhorn Church) is a Grade I listed building in which KEAP Creative have their artists studios.
